Flippy Floppies

Nanny Rach and Uncle Will bought Maxx these cute Handy Manny flip flops for his birthday. They are a size 7 but seem to fit him now. WOW - the kid has some big feet. He loves to try to put them on himself. I let him walk around the house in them to get used to them on his feet.

Maxx is becoming an expert climber.

2 weeks ago I found him on top of the dining room table.

Last week I found him standing on top of the desk in the office. Oh the joy of having an active little boy!!

I guess he was ready to take a nap!

16 months

I am a little late with this one but Maxx turned 16 months last week. He is growing so quickly. He does something new everday which is so amazing. I tried to take pictures. He really wasn't interested again.

And poor teddy comes flying out of the chair!

And here he comes back after taking off to the kitchen.

At least teddy was good again this month.

Maxx's House

Scott got a lot of stuff delivered last week and brought a large box in the house for Maxx to play with. This has become his house. He is in it a good bit and you never know what you are going to find left in it.

He really tries to stand in it.

Gran Pat took a great video of her and Maxx playing with the box last week.

Y'all Do Buttone!

We had our third and final summer wedding last Friday. Keith and Leslie tied the knot and it was a great party. Scott was in this one. This should be our last wedding for a while. I do love celebrating with our friends on these special occasions but it will be nice to have a wedding break. Maybe some of these newlyweds can start working on babies. Maxx needs some more friends!!!!

Oh and there were 3 Saints Super Bowl rings at the wedding. One guy wasn't nice and didn't let anyone see it (then why wear it??) but another guy was super gracious and let my friends all take pics with it. It really is gorgeous!

Sorry I seem to be MIA lately. By the time I put Maxx to bed at night I am ready for bed right behind him. I need to find a way to manage my time a little better but I am running on fumes right now. I can't seem to catch up on my sleep or get anything done lately. But I always seem to be busy and can't figure out why. We don't have much else planned for the summer so I am hoping our days slow down. I want to be able to take Maxx to do some fun stuff soon. Here are some pics from the last week or so. M turned 16 months on Saturday. Where is the time going????

Helping me clean

Playing in his fire helmet

I was playing with my camera. He even looks good in black and white.

M loves the vaccum. He loves to turn it on and off. He actually gets mad when I push it to vaccum b/c he can't reach the button. He gets in my way and I am going to run him over one day!

Here he is running away from me in his new "jean" diaper. I quickly put shorts on him b/c on his way back in the kitchen one side of the diaper was undone and it was falling down his legs. HA!

Cutie pie

I just had to share this adorable picture of Maxx from the Little Rock wedding almost 2 months ago. Shay posted this on FB and I had to steal it b/c it is just the cutest picture! I think Maxx and I were dancing here.

Boys will be boys

Sorry I have been mia. Maxx has been a cranky little guy lately. He is teething with molars so we are pretty miserable.

Friday night we got to hang our with our BFF's The Roviras and The Dauenhauers. The boys are getting to where they can sort of "play". Well, it is more like wrestling at this point. We tried to get some pics of them together but that didn't really work.

Maxx, Joe, Erik...I love how Erik is chewing on a plastic chicken leg in this pics. All the boys ended up chewing on the fake food that night.

Baby Joe got an anywhere chair from Pottery Barn for his birthday. All the boys seemed to like it. Here is Joe not really liking Maxx in his chair. I think this was when he was about to slap Maxx back. We really tried to correct them after they slapped each other but we were laughing so hard. I guess us Moms need to work on that.

Joe trying to pull Maxx out his chair. They wrestled around for a good bit with this chair.

Then they both decided to dive into the chair at the time.

Then Joe tried to use the "let's pull his pants off" technique to get Maxx out his chair. That didn't deter M at all.

We had a great time and it is so good to see the boys getting along...even if they are wrestling and slapping each other, lol. This is a big improvement since Joe used to cry everytime Maxx came near him. Now we just need Erik to get a little older and I am sure we will have one free for all!
